Les Jardins du Palais Royal

Realistic oil painting of the royal palace gardens in Paris, a series of severely trimmed trees on the right and left, box hedges surrounding formal gardens with sculpture and a brilliant fountain, and on the sandy path a couple of chairs in the foreground and a small boy with a dog far down the allée.

Les Jardins du Palais Royal

Paris is so far north that in the winter the sun is barely clearing the buildings by 10:00 in the morning. And clear, sunny days are rare. But when a brilliant, sunny day occurs, the sunlight hitting the water of the fountain made it dazzle.
